Be Prepared...
Toes in the mud...Appropriate footwear makes for a much more pleasant U-pick experience! We try not to have a muddy field, but our plants get thirsty. Many a flip-flop have been sacrificed to the mud gods.
|
Picking Gear...We do our best to provide buckets for picking. However on busy days they may be limited. We do NOT provide clippers for harvesting grapes or other difficult to pick veggies. So if you want them you will need to pack your own.
|
Taking home the goods...As much as we'd like to give everyone free boxes to take your veggies home in, it just isn't affordable. BUT we do have free paper, plastic, and occasionally onion sacks. We offer boxes for $2.00 each, but encourage you to bring your own containers if you'd like to save some $$$$.

Weather...
Our farm is located in the high desert. During the summer months it is not uncommon for us to reach triple digit temps. So be prepared! If you plan to U-pick do your best to beat the heat and pick before noon. Bring sunscreen and a water bottle. We have crisp clean well water that you are free to fill up on. PLEASE for your safety keep these things in mind! |
What about Fido....
We are a pet friendly farm so long as your pet is friendly. We do ask that pets not go in the field for food safety reasons as well as the well being of the plants. With that in mind, be aware that there is VERY limited shade. So if you can leave Ms. Fluff fluff or little Fido at home it would be in their best interest. If you do bring your beloved four legged friend, please be considerate of other farm goers. |
Call before you travel...Please keep in mind that we are a small family farm with limited farm help. We also grow over 200 varieties of fruits and veggies and they will not all be ready at the same time. If you are looking for something special, or wanting cases of pre-picked produce, please call and place an order a couple days before you wish to pick it up. We do not have refrigeration so we do not keep large quantities in stock. We would hate for you to make a trip for nothing.
